Get to Know CCS →Our story
Compassionate Care Services was founded with a simple purpose: to help people maintain their independence and make everyday life a little easier.
We are a Northwest Iowa-based business offering dependable non-medical support that prioritizes personal connection, respect and flexibility. Our work isn't just about completing a checklist. It's about showing up for our neighbors.
Brooks McFarland · Founder, Compassionate Care Services
The idea for Compassionate Care Services came from my grandfather.
After retiring from his career as a financial advisor, he shared an idea with me that would eventually become this business. Having now been involved in business for nearly a decade, I saw an opportunity to build something a little different. Something that could make a meaningful, personal difference in people's lives while helping families navigate difficult decisions.
In January 2025, that idea became Compassionate Care Services.
Too often, families feel like they're facing only two choices: managing everything independently or moving toward full-time care. But there is an in-between.
Sometimes, a little help with meals, housekeeping, errands, transportation, or a friendly visit can make it easier for someone to keep living at home. These may seem like small things, but they can make a real difference for the person receiving help and for the people who love them.
That's why I started CCS. I want families to feel comfortable reaching out, even if they don't know exactly what they need yet. I want them to know they're not out of options and that they don't have to figure everything out alone.
I'm grateful to my grandfather for the idea that started it all, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve our neighbors across Northwest Iowa.
